Preston’s Restaurant

Located inside the Killington Grand Resort Hotel, Preston’s offers a relaxed mountain dining experience rooted in Vermont flavor.

Named for Killington founder Preston L. Smith, the restaurant blends a sense of the mountain’s history with a seasonal menu that ranges from familiar comfort food to more elevated entrées. Vermont ingredients are featured throughout the menu, and Preston’s is a member of the Vermont Farm to Plate Network.

Indoor dining is available throughout the season, while the patio adds an especially scenic option during the warmer months. Preston’s serves breakfast and dinner on select days, along with bar service, takeout, and a children’s menu. Seasonal offerings and live music add another reason to check in throughout the year. Walk-ins are welcome, although online reservations are recommended.

You do not need to be staying at the Grand to enjoy Preston’s — its relaxed atmosphere works just as well for locals and visitors looking for an evening out.

Best for: Vermont-inspired dining, breakfast, dinner, après, families, date nights and convenient mountainside dining.

Peak Lodge

Dining at 4,241 feet, the Peak Lodge offers one of the most memorable views in Killington.

Perched at the summit of Killington Peak and accessed by the K-1 Express Gondola, the lodge combines a mountaintop dining experience with sweeping views of Vermont’s Green Mountains. It is a natural stop for skiers and riders in winter, and for hikers, mountain bikers, and sightseeing guests during the warmer months.

The Peak Lodge is as much about the setting as it is the food. On clear days, the expansive mountain views make it a destination in its own right, whether you are taking a break between runs or adding a summit stop to a day of exploring.

Because lodge access and dining hours vary by season, weather, gondola operations and private events, check Killington Resort’s current schedule before heading to the summit.

On-Mountain & Slopeside

Ski in for island flavor, a cozy trailside yurt, or a sunny spring afternoon beside Superstar. These are the stops that make a day on the mountain feel distinctly Killington.

Bring a little island flavor to your day on the mountain. Located slopeside at the base of Needle’s Eye, the Jerk offers a distinctly different take on on-mountain dining, with Caribbean-inspired flavors and a relaxed atmosphere that has made it a favorite stop for skiers and riders. Its ski-in, ski-out location makes it easy to stop for lunch without leaving the mountain experience behind.

The restaurant first opened in 2016 and has grown into one of the resort’s most popular dining locations. Killington is planning a major expansion of the site into the new Needle’s Eye Lodge, though the restaurant is expected to continue operating during the 2026–27 winter season. As a winter-only operation, hours and access depend on mountain conditions.

Best for: Ski-in/ski-out dining, bold flavors, casual lunches, mid-mountain breaks, and a dining experience that feels uniquely Killington.

Tucked into the mountain and accessible only by ski, snowboard, or snowshoe, the Ledgewood Yurt offers one of Killington’s most distinctive dining experiences. Located trailside near Snowshed, the Yurt is designed to feel like a true mid-mountain escape — ski in for lunch, warm up between runs, and enjoy a meal in a cozy setting.

The Ledgewood Yurt was completely rebuilt for the 2025–26 winter season. Visitors can reach it from either the Northbrook Trail off Snowshed Slope or the newer Ledgewood Yurt Trail from High Road.

Reservations are highly recommended, and lift access or an uphill travel pass is required. Because the Yurt is a winter-only, weather-dependent operation, check current mountain conditions and hours before heading out.

Best for: Unique on-mountain dining, memorable lunches, ski-in/ski-out experiences, and a cozy winter atmosphere.

Set beside one of Killington’s most iconic trails, the Superstar Umbrella Bar is a lively slopeside stop for drinks, snacks and mountain views. Located near the base of Superstar, the bar has long been a favorite gathering place during Killington’s legendary spring season. Grab a beer or cocktail, settle in outside, and take in the energy of skiers and riders making late-season laps nearby.

Killington recently completed an upgraded Superstar Umbrella Bar as part of its ongoing resort improvements. Operations are seasonal and weather dependent.

Best for: Spring skiing, après, casual drinks, outdoor seating, mountain views and soaking up the Superstar atmosphere.

Located inside the Killington Grand Resort Hotel and open to the public, the Grand Café serves Starbucks coffee alongside fresh pastries, hot cinnamon rolls, sandwiches, salads, cold beverages, and other grab-and-go fare.

During the warmer months it serves as Killington’s classic 19th hole, with indoor seating and a scenic outdoor deck. The menu features appetizers, salads, and sandwiches, along with beer, wine, and specialty drinks — no tee time needed.

In winter, the experience shifts indoors with hearty comfort food, warm snacks, and drinks, and its location near the Killington Tubing Park makes it a convenient stop to warm up. Operations are seasonal and weather dependent.

Best for: Casual dining, après-golf, outdoor deck seating, mountain views, families, and an easy post-adventure meal.

Located next to Snowshed Lodge in the heart of Killington’s summer activity area, the Umbrella Bar is a casual outdoor stop for cold beer, cocktails, and light fare with views toward Killington Peak. It is especially convenient for visitors spending the day at the Bike Park or Adventure Center.

The open-air deck and relaxed atmosphere make it a natural gathering place on warm afternoons, with live music on select dates. Operations are seasonal and weather dependent.

Best for: Après-bike drinks, casual outdoor seating, live music, scenic views, and a relaxed summer afternoon.

Located on the third floor of Snowshed Base Lodge, Snowshed Pub is a relaxed spot for hearty food, Vermont beer and après with a view. The menu leans into mountain comfort food, with options such as chili, chowder, salads, wings and warm pretzels, paired with a rotating selection of draft beer that highlights familiar Vermont favorites.

On weekends, après appetizers and live music add to the laid-back atmosphere, while large windows and an elevated setting provide sweeping views from Snowshed Base Lodge.
